MLK.

There are times when you have to see through the thickness of your forced ignorance and acknowledge what life could have been if certain heroic leaders with unimaginable missions from God failed to change the world. MLK accomplished so much and sometimes I wonder what he would think about our generation today. Would he feel that his work was in vain? Would he log onto WSHH and hang his head in shame?..*yeah I brought up WSHH because it makes me denounce my race every time I’m tricked to click on a link to the site.* What have we done to ourselves? Are we as a generation discouraging any future leaders from developing into what they were destined to become out of shame of stepping up and being different? Who in our internet generation would even want to? Everyone is out “for self”. What happened to the love he saw for all of us?

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction…The chain reaction of evil — hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars — must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation."

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, 1963

This new world is one where there is no regard for human life. MLK wasn’t perfect but his dream came to fruition because the support of his people was so profound. A flawed man whom his people could see themselves in him when they couldn’t even see themselves. Who do we have??

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Thank you for everything.
